We keep the use of physical paper to a minimum. All internal communications are electronic.

All of our rooms toiletries are wall mounted, reducing the need for bulk plastic wastage, on individual items.

Eliza’s Manor is part of the Hotel Weka program, which recycles all toiletries into Qpods used for concrete foundations throughout New Zealand.

We have our own bee hive onsite, contributing to sustainably sourced honey, and the freshest produce we can get our hands on. Try our delicious honeycomb on the Eliza’s Cheeseboard.

All of the food scraps and green waste generated at the Manor is composted in a large 245 litre tumbler.

All of our food scraps and coffee grinds are shared with one of the three worm farms we have set up on site. The quality soil created by these farms is then reintroduced into the Manor’s gardens.
