Eliza's Manor on Bealey offers quality bed and breakfast accommodation in a beautifully restored homestead.  We are situated at 82 Bealey Avenue on the northern boundary of the Central Business District of Christchurch City, New Zealand.

The Christchurch Information Centre is located in Cathedral Square in the centre of the city.

We are approximately 10 km from the Christchurch International Airport, 7 km from the Christchurch Railway Station and 1.5 km from Cathedral Square.  The map below shows our location relative to the key attractions.

Approximate fare from the airport is $35 , from the railway station $18 and from the centre of the city $8 .

By shuttle bus

Approximate fare from the airport is $10 per person and from the railway station  $6 per person.

By car

If you are driving from the airport follow the main road, Memorial Drive, in towards the city until it reaches Hagley Park.  Turn left at the traffic lights and follow around Hagley Park until reaching traffic lights at Bealey Avenue.  Proceed straight ahead along Bealey Avenue until the traffic lights at Durham Street where you need to make a U-turn, yes it is legal!  As you approach the lights you will see us on the right across the road.   There are two entrances to the property – take either one.

By foot

Depending on how you feel on the day it will take between 10 and 20 minutes to walk to the central attractions and amenities in Christchurch.  This includes the Arts Centre,  Art Galleries,  Botanical Gardens, Cathedral Square, Christchurch Casino, Hagley Park,  Hagley Golf Links,  Museum, Punting on the Avon, Theatres, Cafes and Restaurants.                              

Day Trips

Christchurch is within easy reach of some stunning South Island scenery. Take a day trip to the alpine village of Arthur’s Pass in the Southern Alps, or head to Hanmer Springs to relax in the hot pools, or to Akaroa, a quaint village with a French essence.  Skiing in the winter is an easy drive of less than an hour and a half.
